Privacy Notice

Last updated: October 18, 2026

1. Who we are

Ledger is operated by Go Forth Living ("we", "us"). Go Forth Living is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice — meaning we decide how and why your data is processed. You can reach us at james.garcia.txex@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

  • Account data — your email address and login credentials (passwords are stored only as secure hashes)
  • Content you enter — the bills, subscriptions, renewals, documents, appointments, and other items you track, including dates, amounts, and notes
  • Things you add with "Add anything" — the original text you type or paste, and any photo, screenshot, or PDF you upload. These originals are stored privately in your account so you can always see where something came from. Only you can open them; each file opens through a private link that expires after a few minutes.
  • Webpages you ask Ledger to save — when you save a public webpage link, Ledger retrieves that page once, at your request, and keeps a private snapshot of its readable content (such as a recipe's ingredients or an article's text) in your account so you can find it later. Ledger can only retrieve pages that are publicly available without a login; it cannot open pages that require an account, a subscription, or a paywall. The snapshot reflects the page at the moment you saved it and may be shortened if the page is very long. Deleting the capture deletes the snapshot too.
  • Support messages — if you contact us, we keep the conversation
  • Usage and device data — basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and how you use the app

Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Paddle (see section 4) — we never see or store your card number.

3. Why we use it (purposes and legal basis)

  • To provide the service — creating your account, saving your items, generating your action list (legal basis: performance of our contract with you)
  • Security and fraud prevention — protecting your account and the service (legal basis: legitimate interests)
  • Product improvement — understanding how the app is used so we can make it better (legal basis: legitimate interests)
  • Customer support — responding to your questions (legal basis: legitimate interests)
  • Legal obligations — where we must keep or disclose records by law (legal basis: legal obligation)

4. Who we share data with

  • Service providers — hosting, database, and analytics providers that process data on our behalf under contract
  • Paddle (our Merchant of Record) — when you buy a subscription, Paddle receives the data needed to process the sale, manage your subscription, handle payments, tax compliance, and invoicing
  • Professional advisers — such as lawyers or accountants, where needed
  • Authorities — where we are required by law

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

5. AI processing

Several Ledger features use artificial intelligence. To make them work, the relevant information is sent through Lovable's AI service, which routes requests to AI model providers such as OpenAI and Google. Depending on the feature you use, this can include:

  • Add anything — the text you type or paste, the photos, screenshots, and PDFs you upload, and any optional note you add, so Ledger can tell you what it found and suggest a category
  • Ask Ledger and voice features — your voice recordings (converted to text) and your typed questions, together with relevant excerpts of matching captures, photos, notes and open or completed items in your account, your recent conversation turns, and your local date and timezone, so Ledger can answer. The microphone starts only with your permission and stops when you end the conversation, close Ask, or leave Ledger's screen. Ledger keeps audio and this conversation temporarily in memory during processing, not as saved recordings or conversation history. Numeric usage records (such as bytes, token counts and success or failure) are recorded without your audio, questions, answers or document content.
  • "How do I handle this?" guidance — the title and details of the item you ask about
  • Your action list — the titles and details of your items, so Ledger can prioritize what needs attention

This information is sent only to provide the feature you asked for. We do not use your content to train AI models ourselves. How long Lovable and its AI providers keep this information, and whether they use it for their own purposes, is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

6. How long we keep data and how to delete it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete an item yourself at any time: open it and tap Delete this item. The item and its reminder history are permanently erased, and it no longer appears in your reminders or calendar feed.

Deleting a capture (the original text, photo or PDF you added with Add anything, and what Ledger read from it) is not available in the app yet. We are building it now. Until then, captures are kept privately in your account.

Deleting your whole account inside the app is not available yet. Transaction records kept by Paddle for tax and legal purposes are governed by Paddle, not by these deletion tools. Erased data may remain in our hosting provider's routine backups for a limited time until those backups expire.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us at james.garcia.txex@gmail.com. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls that ensure only you can see your own items.

9. Cookies

Ledger uses only essential cookies and storage needed to keep you signed in and make the app work. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email.
